Minor in Health

Is this program for me?

The 15 hour minor in Health, reflecting interest in wellness, health promotion and allied health careers, blends with majors in the natural and social sciences.  The minor also can prepare students for entry into a health related graduate program.  The minor, open to all students, would be especially appropriate for the following majors:

What will I Learn?

Students pursuing a Minor in Health will learn to:

  • Assess Individual and Community Needs for Health
  • Plan and implement Health Promotion Strategies, Interventions, and Programs
  • Serve as a Health Resource Person
  • Communicate and Advocate for Health
  • Evaluate Health Promotion Programs
