- Progress Reports
were emailed on Tuesday April 28. If you wish something to
be rechecked, you must email me. Give me at least 24 hours to
respond. If you do not hear after that, please email me again in
case your first email got lost in cyberspace.
- Be sure to send me your
new essay on your vision of an integrated technology learning
environment. You did this at the beginning of the semester.
Do not look at what you wrote at that time until after you write
about your vision now. Please send me this second vision. Worth
2 points. Due by midnight on Thursday April 30.
- Tuesday's class
is canceled today, due to flooding conditions in and around
Houston. Instead, access Wikispaces discussion tab for an online
presentation of your portfolios.
- The Online class
is to access Wikispaces discussion tab for that class to
participate in an online presentation of portfolios.
- Final Presentations for
Thursday's class:
We’ll end our semester with face-to-face final presentations
scheduled for Thursday, April 30. In this way, you will
leave the course not only with what you have learned and completed,
but with many other ideas to store in your “technology toolkit.”
You are
required to prepare a 5-minute informal talk about the piece
of your work that you choose – one of your technology supports or
digital story that you liked or learned the most about or worked the
hardest on. You’ll show it, tell us how you came up with the idea,
tell us how you developed it, and share any thoughts about how you
might use it.
You must present from your working portfolio
online, via your full URL, and so make certain that everything
is there and that your links work and images show. Know your URL
for your portfolio!
Since
all students in our class originally signed up for a
face-to-face course at 4:00, the online students in our course
are expected to be present. No make-up times will be provided
for the portfolio presentation or symbols.
This
presentation is worth 5% of the semester grade.
-
Portfolio development is worth 5 % of the semester grade.
I will grade this on Friday, May 1. As
reminded at the beginning of the semester, when naming files to
place on the Internet, you should always use lower case letters,
no spacing, and no punctuation. I will evaluate on that, as well
as working links, and seeing that all images appear. In
addition, I will evaluate based on the organization of your
portfolio, as it pertains to CUIN 3112. Please let me know as
you need assistance on this. Refer to the following link from
Resources as a guide:
