Certification Checklist
The Certification Checklist will help you to meet the requirements for certification.
Graduate/PB Certification Plan
Graduate Students and Post-Baccalaureate students who wish to receive a professional or teaching certificate must first apply for a Certification Plan. After receiving the certification plan, students may petition for additional credit using the certification plan petition. (Undergraduate QUEST students need not complete this form.)
Testing
All students seeking Texas Standard Teaching Certification or Professional Certification (i.e. Educational Diagnostician, Principal, etc.) must successfully complete the appropriate TExES exam.
- Please read the Guidelines for registering to take the TExES exam.
- More information about the exams may be found on the TExES Registration Bulletin.
- You may print the TExES Registration Approval Form and submit to 160K FH.
Note: Students seeking teacher certification must pass the appropriate representative benchmark exams before they take the TExES exams.
