Dean’s Letter to Students
Dear Future Graduate,
Congratulations on your approaching graduation! What an exciting time! You will soon join over 224,000 UH alumni. Just as your family and friends share in the joy of your achievement, your UH family is also happy for you. The UH faculty and staff know that you will touch lives and bring excellence to whatever you pursue. As Dean of the College of Education, I want to say how proud I am of the accomplishments of the Summer and Fall 2014 graduating classes. It has been an honor to serve you.
It is my hope that the University of Houston remains an integral part of your life once you are, like me, a UH College of Education alum. Please keep in touch by sharing your accolades and victories at coe.uh.edu/features/share-your-story. Consider becoming an active member of the College of Education’s alumni association.
Let me also say thank you for entrusting the UH College of Education with the task of teaching, training, molding and mentoring you in preparation for your future success. We hope that you celebrate your graduation milestone with us at our commencement ceremony. You will receive important details about the commencement ceremony via email and can find more information on this page. We look forward to seeing you and your family at the Dean’s Graduation Reception and later for the commencement line up in Yeoman Fieldhouse located in the Athletics/Alumni Center.
Our best wishes are with you as you change the world. You are the pride.

It will help us a great deal if you tell us if you're participating in the Commencement ceremony. Please R.S.V.P online using our Commencement RSVP Form. *It is very important that you include phonetic or other type of assistance with the correct pronunciation of your name.
You can invite as many guests as you like. Given the limited number of seats in Hofheinz Pavilion seating will be on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Please advise all guests that wish to attend your ceremony to arrive ON-TIME. Doors will open one hour prior to start of ceremony. Security will enforce release of saved seats 15 minutes prior to ceremony start. There will be overflow seating with a large screen in a nearby building.
