College of Education Professors Excel
Two esteemed professors from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction have received prestigious University of Houston Teaching Excellence Awards. Both will be honored at the faculty awards recognition event to be held April 26 at 6:00 PM at the UH Hilton Hotel.
Jerome Freiberg Moores Professor and Director and Principal Investigator for Consistency Management and Cooperative Discipline® (CMCD®) is recipient of the 2011-12 University of Houston Teaching Excellence Career Award. "Receiving the Teaching Excellence Career Award was highly significant as it came from my peers across the University of Houston," said Freiberg. Sara McNeil, Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Instructional Technology Graduate Program is recipient of the 2011-12 University of Houston Teaching Excellence Award for Distinguished Leadership in Teaching Excellence. "I am deeply honored to accept this award on behalf of the many great teachers at UH," said McNeil. "I am very excited about working with the Center for Teaching Excellence next year and helping with their initiatives to support teaching and learning, leading to student success.
