GRASSROOTS: art in action focuses on preserving and promoting creativity and critical thinking in classrooms, communities through the facilitation of collaborations among artists and teachers, including those who serve as art educators, and community arts organizations. Artists can connect with other art professionals through the GRASSROOTS listserv, meeting to look at art together, creating an art car for Houston’s art car parade, and/or joining an art critique group.
