January- May, 2005 and September- December, 2005 – Screening America

LITE fellow, Anne Rudnicki, facilitated Screening America, the media literacy program at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; approximately 2000 students and 50 teachers in attendance.

February – March 2005 – 8 week after school program with Project Row Houses

LITE fellows collaborated with Project Row Houses, an inner-city, 3rd Ward, at-risk youth program, by providing a workshop series for their after school program. Students attended digital storytelling workshops in the LITE lab. They learned digital photography, basic image editing, storyboarding, and Microsoft Photo Story; 5 people in attendance.

March, 2005 – Interactive Hands-On Digital Storytelling Workshop

LITE fellows and Dr. Bernard Robin, UH Faculty, provided a 3-hour hands-on workshop for 30, 10th grade World History students from the HISD Magnet School, Middle College of Technology Careers; 30 people in attendance.

April, 2005 – Interactive Hands-On Digital Storytelling workshop

LITE fellows and Dr. Bernard Robin, UH faculty, provided a 3-hour hands-on experience with Digital Storytelling for Instructional Designers, faculty, and staff for the College of Liberal Arts & Science. The session filled up quickly and prompted another workshop for those on a waiting list; 25 people in attendance.

April, 2005 – Site-Based Teacher Educator Workshop

LITE fellows presented Digital Storytelling to Houston area site-based teacher educators; 150 people in attendance.

May, 2005 – Lamar High School Digital Storytelling Presentation for Physical Education Class

LITE fellows were invited by Ted Williams, a participant form the Site Based Teacher Educator Workshop, to share digital storytelling with his class; 40 students in attendance.
May, 2005- Interactive hands-on Digital Storytelling workshop LITE fellows provided a 3-hour hands-on experience with Digital Storytelling for Instructional Designers, faculty, and staff for the College of Liberal Arts & Science; 18 people in attendance.
