June, 2005 – Digital Storytelling Presentation to Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management

LITE fellows presented an overview on the basics of digital storytelling for their faculty and staff; 12 people in attendance.

July, 2005- Summer Digital Storytelling Workshops for K-12 Teachers- (6 days)

LITE fellows and Dr. Bernard Robin, UH faculty member, hosted 3, 2-full day digital storytelling workshops for elementary, middle, and high school teachers in the greater Houston area. Teachers created their own digital stories in relation to their specific content; 35 teachers in attendance.

September, 2005 – Digital Storytelling Presentation

LITE fellows provided an in-service workshop for teachers at Elrod Elementary School in HISD; 55 teachers in attendance.

October, 2005 – Digital Storytelling Presentation

LITE fellows provided an in-service workshop for teachers at the Missouri City Presbyterian school; 20 teachers in attendance.

October, 2005- Hands-on Digital Storytelling Workshop

LITE fellows conducted in the LITE lab a full day workshop for 30 10th grade students attending HISD’s magnet school Middle College for Technology Careers; 25 student’s in attendance.

November, 2005 – Hands-on Endnote Presentation

Lee Hilyer, UH Director of Interlibrary loan, provided a hands-on workshop with laptops for staff and students to learn EndNote. It was held in the LITE lab; 6 faculty, staff, and students.
January 21, 2006- Digital Storytelling Workshop for Health/PE Educators LITE fellow, Anne Rudnicki,  presented two sessions of Digital Storytelling for HISD Health and PE teachers at Pin Oak Middle School; 25 teachers in attendance.
