Departmental Admission Deadlines

M.Ed. - Higher Education

Students must complete and fully satisfy the Department, College and University requirements for admission to the program. Please note, the program has switched to a cohort admissions structure. Admissions decisions will be made only one time a year based on a competitive applicant pool. All applications for the new Fall 2008 cohort will due on or before January 31, 2008.

Deadlines are as follows:

Fall 2008	January 31, 2008

Please be advised that you will not be notified of
your acceptance until at least 3 weeks after each respective deadline.

Application Materials:

· Graduate application (former UH Main Campus graduate students submit General Petition instead)

· $45.00 Application fee

· 2 official copies of transcripts reflecting the last 60 hours from the Bachelor's degree (including Post Baccalaureate work, if any); former UH Main Campus students do not need to submit transcripts-accounts can be viewed in system.

· Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) scores (scores must be within the last 5 years).

· An updated resume

· Two letters of recommendation from employers or other professional or educational associates

· A 500-word statement of purpose addressing the applicant's professional aspirations and the ways in which a Masters degree from this program might further those goals. Additionally, the essay should highlight unique experiences or qualifications the applicant may have that would actively contribute to a community of scholars studying higher education.

M.Ed. - Administration and Supervision

Students must complete and fully satisfy the Department, College and University requirements for admission to the program. Admissions decisions are made three times a year and based on a competitive applicant pool. Deadlines are as follows:

Semester	Deadline
Fall Spring Summer	July 1 October 15 April 1

Please be advised that you will not be notified of your acceptance until at least 3 weeks after each respective deadline.

Ed.D. - Educational Leadership

A cohort of students is admitted once a year in the fall term.

Application deadline is February 1.

NOTE:

After submitting all documents to admissions, please allow 3-4 weeks after deadline for application material (including any pending test scores and/or transcripts) to reach the ELCS department.
