Description

This scholarship established by the Administaff Corporation is available to minority students. To apply, please fill out a College of Education Scholarship application and include all the required materials.

Nominations may come from the individual who is seeking the scholarship.

Notification of awards will be sent by mail.

Eligibility Criteria

Scholarship applicant demonstrates financial need (as indicated on your Tax Return Form).
Emphasis to be placed on selecting students interested in pursuing a career in education.
Applicant is a minority student enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours each semester of the award.
Applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.8 or better.
Award is to be evenly distributed between Fall and Spring Semesters.
Current scholarship recipients may reapply.
Scholarship recipients may accept other scholarships and grants in conjunction with the Administaff Educational Scholarship.
Funds are to be used to cover expenses for tuition, books, fees, and/or supplies.

____A one-page letter of nomination.
____A one-page statement of teaching philosophy.
____An up-to-date University of Houston transcript.
____A current resume.
____Three letters of recommendation from people in the College of Education such as a
        methods course instructor, a student teacher supervisor, or a general education instructor.
____Documentation of financial need (i.e. Tax Return Form)

Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the College of Education Scholarship Selection Committee.
