Description

This scholarship is available to students pursuing a Masters Degree in the College of Education's Department of Health and Human Performance.

Notification of awards will be sent by mail.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a Masters degree program in the Department of Health and Human Performance.
Applicant should demonstrate an interest in pursuing or continuing a career in the field of Human Performance or Health Education.
Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 for 9 hours of course work taken at the University of Houston at the Masters level.
Applicant must demonstrate evidence of leadership and service to the Department of Health and Human Performance and/or related professional field.
Recipients may reapply. Scholarship recipients may accept other scholarships and grants in conjunction with this scholarship.

Checklist (please initial on line indicating submission of required documentation)

____Completed College of Education Scholarship Application.
____A current University of Houston transcript.
____Two letters of recommendation from the Health and Human Performance faculty.
____One letter of recommendation from a person outside the department and college who
        is knowledgeable about the applicants' scholarship ability and accomplishments.
____A one-page statement of professional goals and philosophy.
____A current resume.

Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the Health and Human Performance Scholarship Committee.
