Lilie Family Early Childhood Endowment Scholarship-Curriculum & Instruction Undergraduate Only

Description

This scholarship was established to benefit students in academic and research studies in the Early Childhood Education (K-4) program. Student(s) must be enrolled in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education (K-4). To apply for the Lilie Family Early Childhood Endowment Scholarship, please fill out a College of Education Scholarship application and include all required materials listed below.

Notification of awards will be sent by mail.

Nominations may come from an instructor, a student teacher supervisor or from the individual seeking the scholarship.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be enrolled in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education (K-4).
Applicant must be in good standing within the Early Childhood Education (K-4) program at the University of Houston College of Education.

Checklist (please initial on line indicating submission of required documentation)

A College of Education application form.
____A one-page letter of nomination.
____A one-page statement of teaching philosophy.
____A current resume.
____An up-to-date University of Houston Transcript.
____Three letters of recommendation from people in the College of Education such as a
        methods course instructor, a student teacher supervisor, or a general education
        instructor.

Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the College of Education Scholarship Selection Committee.
