Description
This scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate (12 hours) or graduate (9 hours) students pursuing a career utilizing skills gained via study at the University of Houston, College of Education in the area of Movement Science in the Department of Health and Human Performance.
Notification of awards will be sent by mail.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a full-time undergraduate (12 hours) or graduate (9 hours) degree-seeking student at the University of Houston.
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Scholarship recipients may accept other scholarships and grants.
- Funds can be used to cover expenses for tuition, books, fees, room and board and/or supplies for the coming academic semester. Any expenses of a recipient in excess of the amount deposited must be borne by the student.
Materials
• Completed College of Education Scholarship Application
• A one-page letter of nomination
• A current University of Houston transcript
• Two letters of recommendation from faculty in the Department of Health and
Human Performance
• A one-page statement of teaching philosophy and/or commitment to the
Movement Science Profession.
Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the Health and Human Performance Scholarship Committee.
