Norman I. Kagan Scholarship-Educational Psychology Graduate Only

Description

This scholarship is available to doctoral students enrolled in any of the graduate degree programs offered in the Department of Education Psychology. To apply for the Norman I. Kagan scholarship, please complete the College of Education Scholarship application and include all the required materials.

Notification of awards will be sent by mail.

 

Eligibility Criteria

The student must be in good standing enrolled in a doctoral program in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Houston.
The purpose of the scholarship program is to provide financial resource in support of student candidacy research projects or dissertations addressing issues on bereavement, use of the Affective Sensitivity Scale, and/or the use or address of Interpersonal Recall (IPR) as a method of scientific inquiry and/or training methodology.

Checklist (please initial on line indicating submission of required documentation)

____A College of Education application form.
____A one two-page description of the proposed research project.
____A one-page summary of anticipated budgetary expenditures to conduct the study.
____A letter from the research advisor stating that the student is in good standing and the
        project has been reviewed and approved by the University Human Subjects Committee.

Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the Department of Educational Psychology.
