This scholarship is to assist an undergraduate student entering the College of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction. To apply for the Rudolph J. Capobianco Memorial Scholarship, please fill out a College of Education Scholarship application and include all the required materials listed below.

Notification of awards will be sent by mail.

Nominations may come from an instructor, supervisor or from the individual who is seeking this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

Student must be currently enrolled in the College of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
Applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or better.

Checklist (please initial on line indicating submission of required documentation)

____Application form.
____A one -page letter of nomination.
____A one-page statement of teaching philosophy and commitment to a career in education.
____An up-to-date University of Houston transcript.
____A current resume.
____Three letters of recommendation from people in the College of Education such as a methods
        course instructor, student teacher supervisor or general education instructor.

Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
