Description
This scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate (12 hours) or graduate (9 hours) students seeking a college degree from the University of Houston.
Notification of awards will be sent by mail.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a full-time undergraduate (12 hours) or graduate (9 hours) degree-seeking student at the University of Houston.
- Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
- Scholarship recipients may accept other scholarships and grants.
- Funds can be used to cover expenses for tuition, books, fees, room and board and/or supplies for the coming academic semester. Any expenses of a recipient in excess of the amount deposited must be borne by the student.
- Applicant can be a non-traditional student (i.e. single parent, returning after lapse of years, career change).
Materials
• Completed College of Education Scholarship Application
• A current University of Houston transcript
• Three letters of recommendation from faculty in the College of Education
• Income Tax Return Form
• A current resume
Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the College of Education Scholarship Committee.
