Master of Education Degree (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Science Education
- 1. A bachelor's degree in education, science, or engineering.

If the degree is in elementary education, the student must have at least 18 hours in science. With a degree in middle or secondary education, the student must have at least 24 hours of science.
Doctor of Education Degree (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Science Education
- 1. A bachelor's degree either in one of the sciences or in education. If the degree is in education, the student must have at least 24 semester credit hours in science.
2. A master's degree in science or in education.
3. Taught science at least three years or participated in a related educational experience.
- Criteria for Admission Selection: Applicants must fulfill all minimum University, College, and Departmental requirements for the Doctoral Degree program. In addition, the following will be used in evaluating the applicants' professional background, education, and interests: (a) professional experiences, (b) written expression, (c) oral communication, (d) science teaching experience, (e) admission scores, (f) academic history, and (g) expectations for earning the degree.
