Undergraduate

The Department of Educational Psychology provides the undergraduate degree program in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS).

· Incoming Freshman

Should first apply to the University of Houston. Once admitted, students should proceed through the normal orientation process, which involves an initial meeting with an HDFS advisor to discuss course selection and degree plans.

 

· Transfer Students

Should first apply to the University of Houston. Once admitted, students should proceed through the normal orientation process, which involves an initial meeting with an HDFS advisor to discuss course selection and degree plans. Transfer students should submit all transcripts to the Office of Admissions. The degree plan process cannot be fully completed until transfer evaluations are completed by that office.

 

· Current UH Students

Must have a Cumulative UH GPA of 2.0 or higher in order to declare HDFS as a major or minor. Students must fill out a general petition to declare a minor or major and must request a signed degree plan with the Department of Educational Psychology (491 FH).
