Program Goals

The Program curriculum consists of approximately 90 credits that integrate coursework, practice, research, and advising activities designed to pursue the following training goals.

 
  Goal 1: To train highly skilled counseling psychologists capable of affecting change in larger, diverse contexts and systems.
 
  Goal 2: To train scientist-practitioners to be attuned to the reflexive nature of science and practice and capable of generating new knowledge within diverse professional settings.
 
  Goal 3: To promote students' socialization, self-development, and professional identity as counseling psychologists.
