Course Enrollment during Internship

During the internship year, students are required to enroll in 6 credits of EPSY 8393- 3 hours in the Fall and 3 in the Spring. Students receive an "S" (satisfactory) grade from EPSY 8393 at the end of the Fall semester;however, students on internship will receive an "I" (incomplete) grade for EPSY 8393 in the Spring until the Director of Training receives official notice of the student's satisfactory completion of the internship experience. Upon receipt of this notice, the student will be rewarded an "S" grade.

Students who successfully defend their dissertation prior to completing internship and who wish to graduate at the conclusion of the Summer IV term must complete and submit a general petition. This petition should state:

"I am requesting to graduate at the conclusion of the Summer IV term without being enrolled and while I am completing my internship requirement. All coursework, including dissertation defense, has been completed."

In order to replace the "I" grade with an "S" in time for Summer graduation, the Director of Training must receive certification of the completion of internship no later than the last day of the Summer IV session. (See pg. 12 in the Handbook )
