Students must have approval from the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects before initiating any research. |
The student defends the proposal before the committee and makes any suggested changes prior to carrying out the study. |
| |
The student collects the data once the proposal is approved. The student then writes the final paper which is presented for approval to the committee in an oral defense. |
| |
Once the final paper is approved, the student submits a Departmental Candidacy Report (see appendix H in the Handbook) to the office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies that has been signed by the members of the committee. |
