HERBAL (15th century)

Some medical manuscripts were used only by physicians and some of those reveal that different medical treatments were offered to the wealthy than to the lower classes. Herbals, like this fifteenth century printed Herbal with hand-colored drawings were among those books used primarily by professional or monastic healers. Other health manuals, like the Tacuinium Sanitatis (facsimile) in this case, might be owned by wealthy individuals or made as gifts for their physicians.
