The tip of the Texas Gulf Coastal plains
is found between Corpus Christi and Brownsville. the San Antonia,
Frio, and Nueces Rivers flow to the sea, a sea which surrounds the
popular islands of the Padre National Seashore. The sea and the rich
heritage of the Mexican-American traditions give a special uniqueness
to this area of our state. The Rio Grande River forms the southern
boundary of Area V, but Mexican cultural influences have contributed
greatly to the culture of Texas. San Antonio is the living example of
a rich mix of diverse cultures, giving us a special reason to
appreciate this region. |
