Graves was one of the original TSU student protestors. He joined the group at the TSU flagpole on March 4, 1960 and attended the first Houston sit-in at Weingarten's. Graves was roommates with Eldrewey Stearns while they both attended law school at TSU.
Graves was Texas' first black state representative since Reconstruction. He currently works for NASA.we would be grateful to hear your personal stories, suggestions and comments
