Bernard R. Robin, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Instructional Technology
University of Houston

I am a faculty member in the Instructional Technology Graduate Program in the College of Education at the University of Houston

I have been teaching in the College of Education at UH since 1993.  Prior to that, I earned a bachelor's degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina and a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education. My doctoral research focused on the creation of a public education network for teachers as well as their use of the Internet and the benefits of online communication.

My current interests include the design and development of community-based websites for the arts; educational uses of digital photography, digital video, and digital storytelling; and use of technology in medical education.

Book Description from Amazon.com
The Educator's Guide to the Web is the ideal reference for parents and teachers who want to introduce and integrate the World Wide Web at home and at school. Learn what kinds of information children might access on the Web, as well as how to control exposure to inappropriate materials and explore a wide variety of educational resources for all grade-levels. Discover how districts have developed Acceptable Use Policies for telecommunications, and see how schools can set up a Web site. Use the book's sample lesson plans to get it all started.
